I got back from Amsterdam around midnight and the next day the fam and I went to Alghero, Italy. It was our third time traveling there. We scored super cheap tickets again for all six of us for about 300 euro (total) including extra luggage. We love it there! The water is so crystal clear that you can see the little fish swim up to your feet. The food is amazing and you can always get a cheap glass of really nice tasting wine.
This trip we went to Le Bombarde Beach which is about 10 minute drive up the coast. It was 30 degrees celsius the entire time we were there (about 86 Fahrenheit). We weren't expecting weather as good as that but we were so thrilled to be able to get in the water and enjoy the sun in October! It was a perfect extension of our summer and a great time to be together as a family after Richie got back from his extended job assignment. No phones, no internet, no plans.
We rented an apartment from a lovely couple we met on the beach the last time that we were there. We met them for wine one night and sat in a square where their niece works. It was a really neat treat and experience to hang out with locals.We felt so honored to be invited to eat dinner at their house our last evening there too. Thanks Angela and Mike for a great weekend!
